This development marks a significant moment for foreign nationals, international students, and workers aiming to secure permanent residency in Canada through Ontario\u2019s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On <strong>June 6, 2025<\/strong>, Ontario conducted a <strong>targeted draw for candidates with job offers based in Greater Sudbury<\/strong>, issuing a total of <strong>72 invitations<\/strong> across three Employer Job Offer streams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Details of the June 6 Draw<\/mark><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The breakdown of invitations issued and the minimum scores required in each stream are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes\"><table class=\"has-light-green-cyan-background-color has-background\"><thead><tr><th><strong>Stream<\/strong><\/th><th><strong>Number of Invitations<\/strong><\/th><th><strong>Minimum Score Required<\/strong><\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Foreign Worker Stream<\/td><td>32<\/td><td>36<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>International Student Stream<\/td><td>34<\/td><td>54<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>In-Demand Skills Stream<\/td><td>6<\/td><td>32<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible, candidates were required to have:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An <strong>active Expression of Interest (EOI)<\/strong> profile created <strong>on or before June 3, 2025<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>valid job offer<\/strong> from an employer located in the <strong>Greater Sudbury census division<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Current <strong>residency in Canada<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least a <strong>bachelor\u2019s degree<\/strong> or higher level of education.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Successful candidates must now submit a complete application to the OINP by the <strong>deadline of June 20, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Resumption of Draws and Increased Activity<\/mark><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The June 6 draw comes just days after the OINP <strong>resumed program draws on June 3<\/strong>, following a suspension that began in February 2025. On <strong>June 3<\/strong>, the province invited a substantial <strong>3,719 candidates<\/strong> under the Employer Job Offer streams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to this, Ontario had conducted only <strong>one draw in 2025<\/strong>, which took place on <strong>January 15<\/strong>. That draw targeted candidates under the <strong>Foreign Worker stream<\/strong> participating in the <strong>Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot<\/strong>, inviting just four individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Nomination Target Reduced for 2025<\/mark><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ontario government has also announced that its <strong>2025 provincial nomination allocation has been reduced<\/strong>, setting the cap at <strong>10,750 nomination slots<\/strong>. This decrease is expected to intensify competition for OINP invitations and increase the importance of strategic employer support in upcoming draws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Upcoming Changes: Employer-Led EOI System Launching July 2<\/mark><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In tandem with the resumption of draws, Ontario is preparing to roll out a <strong>new digital Employer Portal<\/strong> on <strong>July 2, 2025<\/strong>, introducing a major structural change in the application process for the Employer Job Offer streams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This upcoming system overhaul will transition the program from an <strong>applicant-led process<\/strong> to an <strong>employer-led process<\/strong>.
