or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You have a <strong>valid job offer and authorization to work<\/strong> in Canada, even under FSWP or FSTP.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> If you&#8217;re exempt but invited to apply, you must upload a <strong>letter of explanation<\/strong> stating:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You\u2019re applying under CEC; or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You\u2019re employed and authorized to work in Canada.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">How Does IRCC Define \u201cFamily Size\u201d?<\/mark><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your family size includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You (the principal applicant);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your spouse or common-law partner;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your dependent children;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your spouse\u2019s or partner\u2019s dependent children;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any dependent children of those dependent children.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Even if your spouse or children aren\u2019t accompanying you to Canada, or are already Canadian citizens or PR holders, they <strong>must still be counted<\/strong> for financial eligibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Acceptable Proof of Funds: What Counts and What Doesn\u2019t<\/mark><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To be accepted, proof of funds must be in the form of an <strong>official letter from a financial institution<\/strong>, and must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be printed on official letterhead;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Include the institution\u2019s contact info (address, phone, email);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>List all current bank\/investment accounts and account numbers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Specify the date each account was opened;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Show current balances and <strong>average balances over the past 6 months<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mention any outstanding debts such as loans or credit cards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Funds Must Be:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Freely and legally accessible to the applicant;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Available both <strong>at the time of PR application<\/strong> and <strong>on arrival<\/strong> in Canada.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Not Accepted as Proof of Funds:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Property or real estate assets;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Borrowed money (e.g., loans from friends or family);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Restricted access funds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Joint or Spouse-only Accounts?<\/strong><br>Money in a <strong>joint account<\/strong> with your spouse <strong>counts<\/strong>.<br>Funds in your spouse\u2019s name <strong>alone<\/strong> may also count if you can prove you have legal access to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Why This Update Matters<\/mark><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Express Entry remains Canada\u2019s <strong>main pathway<\/strong> to economic immigration, managing applications for skilled workers.
