new <strong>Skilled Worker Selection Program (PSTQ)<\/strong> \u2014 marking the official launch of this immigration pathway after its initial introduction in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This draw focused on candidates <strong>already living in Quebec<\/strong>, with priority given to those who:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Speak <strong>French<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hold Quebec education credentials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are employed in <strong>high-demand occupations<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Streams Targeted in This Round<\/mark><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Quebec selected candidates under <strong>two PSTQ streams<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stream 1: Highly Qualified and Specialized Skills<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>216 candidates<\/strong> were invited.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum required score: <strong>768 points<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eligibility included:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Residence in Quebec<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Diploma from a Quebec university, college, or vocational institution<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Occupation in FEER categories <strong>0, 1, or 2<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least <strong>12 months of experience<\/strong> in the primary occupation within the last 5 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>French proficiency: <strong>Oral level 7<\/strong>, <strong>Written level 5<\/strong> (or equivalent)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spouse (if applicable) must have French oral proficiency at <strong>level 4<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stream 4: Exceptional Talent<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>22 candidates<\/strong> were invited.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Candidates were required to:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hold a <strong>PhD<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have at least <strong>3 years of work experience<\/strong> in their primary field (within the last 5 years)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide either:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A <strong>positive opinion from a Minist\u00e8re partner<\/strong>, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A recognized <strong>exceptional achievement<\/strong> listed by the Ministry of Immigration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Background on the PSTQ<\/mark><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Skilled Worker Selection Program (PSTQ)<\/strong> replaced the former Regular Skilled Worker Program in 2024, but no invitations had been issued until now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible for the PSTQ, candidates must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be <strong>18 years or older<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Intend to work in Quebec (not in a company they own or in a restricted industry)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit a <strong>declaration of interest<\/strong> through <strong>Arrima<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sign a <strong>Financial Self-Sufficiency Contract<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Obtain an <strong>Attestation of Learning of Quebec Values<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comply with any return requirements from Quebec-sponsored scholarships<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates must also <strong>update any declarations<\/strong> submitted before <strong>November 29, 2024<\/strong>, as the PSTQ scoring system now applies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Invitations are issued to those with <strong>high-ranking scores<\/strong> who meet the
