However, in February, Newfoundland and Labrador successfully negotiated an additional 1,000 nomination spaces, raising its total to 2,050 spots for the PNP. The EOI system allows the province to prioritize candidates based on labour market needs, qualifications, and employer demand.

Meanwhile, the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) continues to serve as an employer-driven pathway for foreign workers and international graduates who secure a valid job offer from a designated employer in Atlantic Canada. Successful candidates may apply for permanent residence and are eligible for a temporary work permit while awaiting PR approval.

By strategically managing both PNP and AIP draws, Newfoundland and Labrador is addressing its labour market needs while ensuring immigration spaces are filled efficiently before year-end.

For a consultation about Immigration options, reach out to the CAD IMMIGRATION today!

INSTAGRAM

TIKTOK

LINKEDIN

On August 13, 2025, the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism in Newfoundland and Labrador conducted a new immigration draw, issuing a total of 231 Invitations to Apply (ITAs).
