Under this program, 14 communities across Canada will receive funding so more programs and support can be established to help French-speaking newcomers. This will help newcomers feel welcomed and they can easily integrate into Francophone minority communities. The new francophone immigration was launched to increase the proportion of French-speaking permanent residents in francophone minority communities and to support the integration of those newcomers.
