{"id":3333,"date":"2025-08-26T13:02:53","date_gmt":"2025-08-26T17:02:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cadimmigration.com\/?p=3333"},"modified":"2025-08-26T13:02:55","modified_gmt":"2025-08-26T17:02:55","slug":"prince-edward-island-holds-eighth-provincial-nominee-program-draw-of-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cadimmigration.com\/?p=3333","title":{"rendered":"Prince Edward Island holds eighth Provincial Nominee Program draw of 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On <strong>August 21, 2025<\/strong>, Prince Edward Island (PEI) conducted its <strong>eighth Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw of the year<\/strong>, inviting <strong>132 candidates<\/strong> to apply for provincial nomination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This round of invitations primarily focused on <strong>candidates already residing and working in the province<\/strong>\u2014particularly those engaged in sectors that are vital to PEI\u2019s labour market and long-term economic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Priority given to high-demand sectors and graduates<\/mark><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The PEI PNP emphasized individuals employed in <strong>healthcare, trades, and manufacturing<\/strong>, which the province has identified as <strong>critical sectors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, <strong>international student graduates<\/strong> from select institutions were given priority consideration, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Holland College<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Coll\u00e8ge de l\u2019\u00cele<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This marks the <strong>third time in 2025<\/strong> that PEI has included these targeted selection factors in its draws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Results of the latest draw<\/mark><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The invitations were issued under the following streams:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Labour Impact<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>PEI Express Entry<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Breakdown of Invitations:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Labour Impact \/ Express Entry: <strong>132 invitations<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>So far this year, <strong>a total of 792 invitations<\/strong> have been issued through the PEI PNP. Of these:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>791<\/strong> invitations have been extended under the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>1<\/strong> invitation has been issued through the Work Permit Stream.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Pathways to immigrate to PEI<\/mark><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>PEI PNP<\/strong> offers several immigration categories, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Labour Impact<\/strong> (Skilled Worker, Critical Worker, International Graduate)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>PEI Express Entry<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Business Impact<\/strong> (Work Permit Stream)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligibility requirements vary by stream, but all candidates must be <strong>admissible to Canada<\/strong> and, if applicable, meet <strong>federal Express Entry requirements<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How candidates are selected<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To be considered for nomination:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Candidates must create an <strong>Expression of Interest (EOI)<\/strong> profile on PEI\u2019s official portal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>EOIs remain valid for <strong>six months<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The PEI immigration office reviews the pool and invites individuals who best match the province\u2019s <strong>current labour market and economic needs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Those invited can then apply for a <strong>provincial nomination<\/strong>.
