Midway through the year, the province received an <strong>additional 1,728 nominations<\/strong>, bringing the total allocation to <strong>6,603<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite this figure, Alberta ultimately issued <strong>6,750 nominations<\/strong>, citing a small administrative overage under its Express Entry allocation approved by the federal government. Program Changes Introduced in 2025<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Several important changes were implemented throughout 2025 that reshaped the AAIP:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applicants must now respond to information requests through the AAIP portal instead of email<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alberta withdrew from the federal policy supporting open work permits for prospective PNP candidates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Family Connection and Occupation in Demand invitations under Express Entry were discontinued, though family connection points remain<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Application fees increased significantly across worker and farm streams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pearson Test of English Core became an accepted language test<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rural Renewal Stream eligibility tightened,
