The province conducted a series of draws between <strong>January 13 and January 15<\/strong>, issuing invitations to candidates across multiple immigration streams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This first selection round of the year focused on applicants who already have <strong>strong ties to New Brunswick<\/strong>, reinforcing the province\u2019s priority to retain skilled workers, graduates, and French-speaking newcomers who are contributing to the local economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Total Invitations Issued<\/mark><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Across all draws, <strong>379 Invitations to Apply (ITAs)<\/strong> for provincial nomination were issued. Candidates were selected from Expressions of Interest submitted on or before <strong>January 12 at 11:59 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Invitations were distributed across three immigration streams:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New Brunswick Strategic Initiative Stream<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New Brunswick Express Entry Stream<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Each of these streams requires candidates to demonstrate a meaningful connection to the province, such as work experience, education, language ability, or employer support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Skilled Worker Stream Dominates the Draw<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream<\/strong> accounted for the majority of invitations in this round, with <strong>244 ITAs<\/strong>, representing approximately <strong>64% of all selections<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This stream targets skilled foreign nationals who are already employed in New Brunswick or have a valid job offer from a provincial employer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pathways Selected Under the Skilled Worker Stream<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New Brunswick Experience Pathway<\/strong><br>Candidates selected under this pathway were required to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have lived in New Brunswick for at least six months before submitting an EOI<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be working full-time in a non-seasonal position for a New Brunswick employer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have at least six months of work experience with the supporting employer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New Brunswick Graduates Pathway<\/strong><br>Candidates qualified under this pathway if they:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Completed a Post-Graduation Work Permit-eligible program at a designated learning institution in New Brunswick<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are currently working full-time for a New Brunswick employer or have a valid non-seasonal job offer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All occupational sectors were considered under both pathways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Strategic Initiative Stream Reopens After Year-Long Pause<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>New Brunswick also issued <strong>115 invitations<\/strong> under the <strong>Strategic Initiative Stream<\/strong>, exclusively through the <strong>Francophone Priorities pathway<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This draw is particularly significant as the Strategic Initiative Stream had been paused since <strong>January 2025<\/strong>, with no invitations issued throughout the year due to a sufficient inventory of applications.
