Ontario Issues 468 Invitations in Latest OINP Draws on August 28, 2025

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) resumed its invitation rounds on August 28, 2025, after a pause of nearly three months, issuing a total of 468 invitations across five targeted draws. These draws were conducted under the Foreign Worker stream, International Student stream, and In-Demand Skills stream, focusing on candidates with job offers in key regions and occupations critical to Ontario’s labour market.

Resumption After Three-Month Gap

The last OINP draw took place on June 6, 2025. With the August round, Ontario has once again prioritized applicants whose profiles were created between July 2, 2025, and August 28, 2025. The selection was based on specific score ranges, occupation demand, and regional needs.

Breakdown of the August 28, 2025 OINP Draws

This stream is tailored for skilled foreign workers with valid job offers in Ontario. Two draws were conducted:

Significance of the Draws

These draws underline Ontario’s regional immigration strategy to:

  • Support Northern Ontario’s population growth and labour market needs.
  • Strengthen REDI communities by directing talent into priority occupations.
  • Ensure that international students and skilled tradespeople can secure pathways to permanent residency.

Applicants who received invitations must ensure their employers submit the required application within 14 calendar days under the updated OINP intake system introduced in July 2025.
