Express Entry Update: IRCC Issues 1,000 Invitations to Canadian Experience Class Candidates
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted another Express Entry draw, focusing on Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates.
- On September 3, 2025, IRCC invited 1,000 candidates to apply for permanent residence.
- To qualify, applicants needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 534.
- Only candidates who created their Express Entry profile before 8:28 a.m. (UTC), August 14, 2025, were considered.
This draw follows recent invitations issued under different categories, including the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and targeted draws for healthcare, social services, and French-language proficiency.
Recent Trends in Express Entry Draws (2025)
- CEC draws have consistently required CRS scores above 518–547 earlier this year, showing a highly competitive trend.
- PNP draws continue to demand higher CRS scores, often above 726–800.
- Category-based draws (healthcare, French language, and education) have provided additional pathways for skilled workers to receive invitations.
- So far in 2025, IRCC has issued 57,069 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through Express Entry.
Breakdown of Draw Types in 2025
- Provincial Nominee Program (PNP): 16 draws
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC): 9 draws
- French-language proficiency: 4 draws
- Healthcare & Social Services: 4 draws
- Education-specific draws: 1 draw
The latest draw reflects IRCC’s continued emphasis on inviting candidates who already have Canadian work experience, alongside ongoing category-based selections to address labour shortages.
