Why Some Candidates Did Not Receive an Invitation
Despite meeting or exceeding the minimum cut-off score, some candidates may not have received invitations due to:
- Missing or invalid language test numbers in their Expression of Interest (EOI).
- Expired language test results at the time of the draw.
- Failure to provide a valid invitation number despite declaring receipt of a direct invitation under a strategic recruitment initiative.
Strategic Recruitment Initiatives – Explained
Manitoba’s strategic recruitment initiatives are specialized employer and community-driven processes designed to address labour shortages in critical industries.
Key details:
- Employers must meet program eligibility standards and follow Manitoba’s recruitment process.
- International candidates must meet criteria related to education, work experience, language proficiency, and adaptability.
- The MPNP evaluates whether candidates have ties to other Canadian provinces, as this may affect their likelihood of staying in Manitoba long-term.
