Newfoundland and Labrador Issues Over 350 Invitations in Latest Immigration Draw

Newfoundland and Labrador continues to strengthen its immigration intake for 2025, issuing more than 350 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through its provincial immigration streams.

The latest selection round, held on September 12, 2025, marked the ninth draw of the year and focused on both the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).

2025 Immigration Space Allocation

How to Qualify for the NLPNP

  • Foreign nationals must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the Newfoundland and Labrador Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism (OIM).
  • EOIs are reviewed regularly, and invitations are issued to profiles matching labour market needs.
  • With an ITA, candidates can apply directly to the NLPNP.

  • Information and Communications Technology (ICT)
  • Aquaculture

How to Qualify for the AIP

The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) allows foreign nationals with a qualifying job offer from a designated employer to settle in one of Canada’s Atlantic provinces.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Job offer must be endorsed by a designated employer.
  • Meet education, language, and work experience criteria.
  • Provide proof of settlement funds.
  • Obtain a settlement plan (mandatory).

Pathway Benefits:

  • Eligible candidates may apply directly for permanent residence with IRCC.
  • While waiting, applicants can apply for a two-year work permit to begin employment immediately.
