Prince Edward Island has officially published its provincial immigration draw schedule for 2026, offering prospective immigrants rare insight into when invitations may be issued throughout the year. The anticipated schedule was released by the provincial government in early January 2026 and outlines when Expression of Interest (EOI) draws under the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) are expected to take place.

Monthly Draws Planned Throughout 2026

According to the schedule, PEI plans to conduct 12 provincial nominee draws in 2026, generally occurring once per month, most often around the middle of each month.

The tentative draw dates for 2026 are as follows:

• January 15
• February 19
• March 19
• April 16
• May 21
• June 18
• July 16
• August 20
• September 17
• October 15
• November 19
• December 17

While the province intends to follow this schedule, PEI has clarified that the dates are indicative rather than guaranteed. Selection rounds may occur earlier or later than planned, and the province may also conduct additional unscheduled draws, depending on labour market needs.

Flexibility and Surprise Draws Remain Possible

PEI has emphasized that its draw calendar is published for general informational purposes only. Past trends show that the province may adjust its draw frequency or timing as needed.

In 2025, for example, PEI conducted three additional draws outside its published schedule, resulting in a higher-than-expected number of total selection rounds. This demonstrates the province’s flexibility in responding to workforce shortages and economic priorities.

Important Note on EOI Profile Validity

Candidates interested in the PEI PNP should be aware that EOI profiles remain valid for only six months, unlike many other provinces where profiles are active for one year.

Because of this shorter validity period, applicants are encouraged to:

• Keep their profiles updated at all times
• Re-submit a new EOI promptly if their profile expires
• Apply as soon as they meet eligibility requirements
