The various provinces across Canada have continued to innovate and improve their immigrant nominee programs the past quarter. The Ontario, Saskatchewan and New Brunswick made the changes directly affecting the Express Entry candidates; Alberta, Manitoba and the Prince Edward Island have held the selection rounds thereby, inviting Express Entry Candidates for the provincial nomination.
The month of July, August and September were busy ones for the Canadian Nomination Programs, which allows the participating provinces and territories to select the immigration candidates with the needed kills and work experience and therefore, nominate them for the Canadian Permanent Residence.
Canada’s nominee programs open up the immigration possibilities for the foreign workers who may not qualify for the federal Express Entry System or for those who qualify but there Comprehensive Ranking System score is lower than those being invited by the Government of Canada in order to apply for the Permanent Residence.
Recipients of a provincial nomination via an Express Entry – aligned provincial stream, also called an “enhanced nomination stream”, receive an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score and are effectively fast-tracked for an invitation to apply for the Canadian Permanent residence. Therefore, the other provincial programs that are not Express Entry aligned nominate the candidate’s wo can then apply directly to Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent residence. These base programs are designed by the Government in order to address the specific, often lower skilled worker needs.
The Express Entry manages the pool of candidates for the three of Canada’s essential economic Class immigration programs- that is the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Canadian Experience Class and Federal Skilled Trades Class.
Then the Candidates are invited to apply for the Canadian permanent residence based on their CRS score, which considers the factors such as age, skilled work experience, education and proficiency in English or French.
Hence, the highest scoring candidates are invited to apply for the Canadian Express Entry draw.

Please I don’t really know the best option possible for me to immigrate to Canada. I am a Ph. D. holder, an African, and over 50years of age. I don’t know whether Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program will be okay and, if not which is the best way to immigrate to Canada for me? Thank you.
