Foreign Nationals Now Need To Submit Bio-metrics In Order To Apply For The Permanent Residence Within Canada.

The Service Centers Across Canada Are Now Open To Take The Bio-metrics For The Foreign Nationals Who Are Applying To Stay In The Country.

Before December 3, 2019, Only The Immigration Candidates Who Were Applying From The Outside Of Canada Had To Submit Their Fingerprints And The Photo.

Unless They Are Exempt, The Bio-metrics Are Now Required For Those Who Are Applying From Within The Canada For Any Of The Following:

• A Work Permits (Including The Extensions)
• A Permanent Residence (Including The Extensions)
• A Visitor Visas (Including The Extensions)
• A Study Permits

Thereby, The Bio-metrics Must Also Be Submitted If The Application Is Being Processed For Extending A Permit Or Visa In Canada And The Applicant Does Not Have Bio-metrics That Are Still Valid. To Check The Status Of Their Bio-metrics, They Can Do So Here.

Who Needs To Give The Bio-metrics?

The Canadian Government Website Provides An Online Tool Where You Can Identify Whether You Need To Give The Bio-metrics Or Not, There You Must Fill Out A Questionnaire To Determine If You Need To Give Their Bio-metrics For An Application.

The Individuals Who Are Between The Age Of 14 & 79 Years Old Need To Give Fingerprints And Photos For All The Permanent Resident Applications In The Family Class, Economic Class And Refugee Class.

This Also Applies Even To Those Who Gave Their Bio-metrics In The Past In Order To Support A Visitor Visa, Study Or The Work Permit Application.

Canadian Citizens And The Existing Permanent Residents Don’t Need To Give Their Bio-metrics.
