New Brunswick Invites Over 500 Skilled Candidates in Multiple PNP Draws This October

New Brunswick has continued its strong momentum in 2025 by holding three major Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws between October 6 and 9, issuing a total of 522 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to skilled candidates across various sectors.

These draws reflect the province’s ongoing commitment to addressing labour shortages and supporting regional economic growth through immigration.

Highlights of the October 2025 New Brunswick Draws

The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) issued invitations under two key streams:

  • New Brunswick Express Entry Stream
  • New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream

The cut-off date for eligible applications was October 5, 2025 (11:59 p.m. AST).
However, the province clarified that not all applications from these draws will be processed before the end of the year, as some may roll over into 2026 due to standard processing timelines.

Breakdown of Invitations by Stream

1. Express Entry Stream – Employment in New Brunswick

  • Date: October 8–9
  • Invitations: 221

This stream targets skilled foreign nationals who are already working in New Brunswick in occupations classified under TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3.
To qualify, candidates must:

  • Be employed full-time in a non-seasonal role with a New Brunswick employer;
  • Have at least 12 months of full-time experience in a TEER 0–3 job in the province; and
  • Have been living in New Brunswick for at least 12 months.

2. Skilled Worker Stream – Experience & Graduate Pathways

The Skilled Worker Stream caters to individuals already working in New Brunswick or holding a job offer from an eligible employer.
Candidates must demonstrate a genuine intent to reside in the province and meet specific pathway conditions.

For the New Brunswick Experience Pathway:

  • Minimum six months of full-time experience with the same employer;
  • Continuous residence in the province for at least six months before submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI).

For the New Brunswick Graduate Pathway:

  • Job offer obtained through a government-organized recruitment mission;
  • Job must align with priority NOC codes;
  • At least one year of paid work experience relevant to the offered position.

Note: This draw excluded the NOC 75101 – Material Handlers from the construction trade list.

New Brunswick’s 2025 PNP Performance

As of October 2025, New Brunswick has issued 3,589 invitations under its PNP — surpassing expectations and reflecting an aggressive approach to provincial immigration.

Originally allocated 1,500 nomination spots, the province successfully negotiated an additional 1,500 in mid-2025, bringing its total allocation to 3,000 nominations for the year.

The number of invitations typically exceeds the actual nominations to allow for withdrawals, declines, or ineligible applications.

What Happens After Receiving an Invitation

Once invited, candidates must submit a full application to the provincial government.
If approved, they receive a nomination certificate, which can be used to apply for Canadian permanent residence (PR) through the federal system.

Because of overlapping timelines between provincial nomination and PR processing, invitations issued in 2025 may contribute toward 2026 immigration landing targets.

Why It Matters

New Brunswick’s latest draws emphasize:

  • A targeted approach to filling labour shortages in key industries.
  • Continued focus on retaining international graduates and skilled workers.
  • The province’s proactive engagement with the federal government to expand its immigration quota for sustainable growth.
