Alberta Closes 2025 PNP Intake After Reaching Full Nomination Limit
Alberta has officially completed its Provincial Nominee Program intake for 2025, after issuing its final Invitations to Apply under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP). With this, the province has now fully exhausted its annual nomination quota, signaling an end to new provincial nomination invitations for the remainder of the year.
The final invitations, released retroactively, were directed exclusively toward healthcare professionals, reinforcing Alberta’s continued focus on strengthening its healthcare workforce.
Final AAIP Draws of 2025
Alberta’s last two draws were held in late November and issued a combined 107 invitations under the Dedicated Health Care Pathways:
- November 21, 2025
Dedicated Health Care Pathway – Express Entry
Invitations issued: 68
Minimum score: 49 - November 24, 2025
Dedicated Health Care Pathway – Non-Express Entry
Invitations issued: 39
Minimum score: 49
Following these draws, Alberta confirmed that it had reached its maximum 2025 nomination allocation, making further invitations unlikely until a new quota is announced.

- Alberta withdrew from the federal policy supporting open work permits for prospective PNP candidates
- Family Connection and Occupation in Demand invitations under Express Entry were discontinued, though family connection points remain
- Application fees increased significantly across worker and farm streams
