4200 new migrants invited in September 2020 by IRCC

The Canadian Government in its last draw of Express entry held on 2^nd September’2020, has issued invitations to 4200 applicants for Permanent Residency.

There has been a decrease of 1 point from the last draw and the CRS cut-off this time was 475.

This invitation round was the most issued after the corona virus pandemic, after the February 2020 round, in which 4500 invitations were given. This shows a positive commitment by the Canadian Government, who are in spite of the global pandemic, are welcoming new immigrants to their Country.

The total ITA’s issued till now this year in 2020 is 69,950, which is a new record to date.

Recalling that Nairametrics had reported in March, that Canadian Government has issued a large number of invitations every draw this year, to reach its target of 85,800 new immigrants. And therefore, has 81.5% achievement so far.

Many rounds to go before the end of this year, and many potential immigrants will be able to fulfil their dream of getting a PR in Canada.

How Express Entry works

Express Entry is a pool of candidates for three main economic immigration classes, i.e.:

• the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
• the Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC)
• the Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

It is a pool of candidates, wherein a set number of candidates with highest CRS cut-off are issued an ITA (invitation to apply) for PR.

The invitation round takes place almost every two weeks, and candidates with highest CRS, which includes, education, age, skilled work exp & language proficiency in English & French are invited to apply. A job offer is not required in order to migrate under Express Entry, however, a valid job offer letter does award an extra 50 points to candidates, and the ones who lack some points in CRS, can get through & receive an ITA. It is known as LMIA.
