Ahmed Hussen the Minister of Immigration made an important announcement today. He stated that he is making a commitment to expand permanent residency pathways for temporary foreign workers by making extra space of 2000 applicants under the Provincial Nominee Program. This is great news for temporary foreign worker as the probability of them receiving Permanent residency through PNP has increased. The Government of Canada wants to ensure that our immigration system is strong and is one that strengthens our economy which contributes to the growth of middle-class jobs. The additional space will provide temporary foreign workers at the intermediate skill level (NOC C) more security as this program will allow them to transition to permanent residency. The minister has fulfilled commitment of developing further programs that allow access to permanent residency so that qualified applicants are able to fully contribute to Canadian society.
