The minimum score required under all categories for successful candidates was 80 points.

The rest 20 candidates invited were from the BC’s Entrepreneur Immigration Program, further divided as:

15 applicants for Entrepreneur Immigration Base Category- 122 points needed

05 applicants for Entrepreneur Immigration Regional Pilot-  109 points needed

Except for this, B.C also holds draws on weekly basis through many PNP categories and streams The largest BC PNP draw was held on September 29th 2020, where 450 provincial nomination invitations were issued.

Also. British Council introduced Tech Pilot Draw in 2017, and since then the province holds weekly Tech Pilot draws so as to address it’s IT and technology sector labour market needs. To be eligible for this program, the candidates must be registered in one of the province’s immigration streams and must have a valid job offer of at least 12 months in of the Tech Pilot’s eligible occupations.

In order to apply for the skills immigration and express entry stream for BC, the applicants must first create a profile through the BC PNP’s online portal and register themselves under the ‘Skills Immigration Registration System’ (SIRS).  After this the applicants get evaluated and are issued a score on the basis of the various scoring factors which includes, education, work experience, English proficiency and location of employment.

After the candidates are selected and approved an invitation through PNP, the selected candidates can then apply for Permanent Residency on IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) under the PNP stream. With the nomination (PNP) from BC< the candidates get an additional 600 points towards the Express Entry CRS score, which effectively guarantees them and ITA (Invitation to apply) in their future federal Express Entry draw.

The latest Express Entry draws was one of the largest ever, inviting 4,500 candidates to apply for permanent residence.

Meanwhile, the Entrepreneur Immigration — Base Category is for entrepreneurs who are experienced and will start a business or take over an existing one in B.C.
