The Province Of Saskatchewan Held Its Second Round Of The Major Draws In Two Weeks On October 2, 2019 Thereby Inviting 610 Candidates To Apply For The Provincial Nomination Program For The Canadian Permanent Residence.
This Is The Second Major Draw That Has Been Conducted After The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) Dramatically Expanded The Number Of High- Skilled Occupations That Are Eligible Under Its Popular Express Entry And Occupation In Demand Subcategories. Thereby, A Total Of 769 Invitations Were Issued To Apply For A Provincial Nomination To Saskatchewan Through These Two Sub-Categories Last Week.
The Invited Candidates Represented The 77 Occupations, The Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program Reported. Among Those Included Were The Human Resource Professionals, Engineers, Computer Network Technicians, Legal Assistants, Educational Counselor, Natural And Applied Science Researchers As Well As Cleaning Supervisors. The Candidates Need To Have One Year Of Work Experience In An Eligible Occupation Related To Their Field Of Study In Order To Be Considered For A Provincial Nomination Through Either Sub-Category, There Are Also Other Eligibility Requirements.
Therefore, A Job Offer In Saskatchewan And Canadian Work Experience Are Not Required.
The October 2 And September 25 Were Among The Largest Held Draws By Saskatchewan Since It Switched Its Express Entry And Occupation In- Demand Subcategories To An Expression Of Interest (EOI) System In July 2018.
A Total Of 214 Invitations Went To Occupation In-Demand Candidates And Another 396 Invitations Were Issued Through The SINP’s Express Entry Subcategory, Which Is Valid To The Eligible Candidates With A Profile In The Federal Express Entry System. The Express Entry System Of Pool Of Candidates For Three Of The Canada’s Main Economic Class Immigration Categories- The Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skill Trades Class And Canadian Experience Class.
The Express Entry Candidates With A Provincial Nomination Will Receive An Additional 600 Points Towards Their Ranking Score And Are Effectively Guaranteed An Invitation To Apply For Canadian Permanent Residence. Therefore, In Order To Be Considered For The Provincial Nomination From Saskatchewan, Express Entry Candidates Must Register A Separate EOI (Expression Of Interest) With The SINP.
In Addition, The Eligible Candidates Are Issued A Score Based On The Factors Such As Education, Work Experience, Proficiency In English Or French And Connections To Saskatchewan. Hence, The Candidates With The Highest Score Are Invited To Apply For The Provincial Nominee Program Through The Regular Draws From The SINP (Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program) Expression Of Interest (EOI) Pool.
The Minimum Scores In The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) October 2 Draws Were 68 For Both The Occupation In-Demand Category And The Express Entry Pool. These Minimum Scores Were Lower Than In The Last Week’s Draws, Which Had A Minimum Score Of 79 and 70 For The Express Entry And 79 For The Occupations In Demand.
