In the latest Manitoba PNP draw 206 candidates have been invited to apply for the permanent residence through the provincial nomination in its latest draw held on 22nd October 2020 and has invited up-to 4068 invitations till now this year. The MPNP has invited skilled workers and international graduates from the below mentioned streams:
Skilled workers
International Education System
Overseas Skilled workers
The invitations, also called as the Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA’s) were issued to the below mentioned applicants along with the Expression of Interest (EOI) score requirements:
Skilled Workers in Manitoba- 161 LAA’s with a score of 375
Skilled workers Overseas- 15 LAA’s with a minimum score of 771
International Education Stream- 30 LAA’s, no EOI score required
Out of 206 LAA’s issued, 22 went to the express entry candidates. In order to be eligible for the MPNP, the candidates must have a valid Express Entry profile, a job seeker validation code and a verifiable experience in an occupation in Manitoba’s in-demand occupation list.
Express Entry Manitoba:
Applicants under Express Entry are ranked under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score that considers all those factors which include age, work experience, language ability and education. Those who receive a provincial nomination are additionally given 600 points and then, the highest scoring applicants are invited to apply for a PR through the regular draw in the Express entry system.
Manitoba’s EOI System:
People who wish to immigrate through Manitoba’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) have to register an Expression of Interest with MPNO in order to receive an LAA through the Skilled workers Manitoba & Overseas stream respectively.
Under this system of Manitoba, the applicants are ranked out od 1000 points for education, work experience, English or French proficiency test and other factors.
Manitoba’s Immigration Streams:
The skilled workers overseas and Manitoba streams allow the province to nominate those skilled workers who can fulfil the labour needs of the province. Candidates who are applying from overseas must have an established connection in Manitoba. This can be a close family tie, previous experience in Manitoba or an invitation under one of the MPNP’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives. Candidates do not need to be physically present in Manitoba at the time of the application to be eligible.
Successful candidates in the Skilled Workers in Manitoba category must meet certain criteria, such as having a full-time permanent job offer from an employer in Manitoba.
International students that graduated from an educational institution in Manitoba may receive an LAA under the International Education Stream if they have in-demand skills.
